Setting A Soul Free

If you have been reading my posts, you will know that we have a protective spirit in our house that has been with us since we moved to New Braunfels, Texas in July of 2009. Well, we confirmed that this spirit is my friend Chris, who took his own life on January 5th, 2009. We were having some problems with spirits, so my father did performed some meditation and asked this spirit what he wanted. Well, he wanted us to acknowledge that we knew “he” was here, and that he was only here to protect us. My dad also said that he wanted a comic book and some apple cider, and asked me to put it where we felt there was the most activity, and of course we did. He would not tell me who the person was though, and that if I wanted to know I should ask him. I did not get up the courage to ask him, but about a week after my father told me this, I came in contact with an old friend who used to date Chris. The thought popped into my head, and I asked her if he liked comic books and apple cider. Her response was, “Oh yes! Of course he did.” She even said he used to collect them, but did not know the extent of his collection, but that she would ask his sister when she contacted her via email. Well, my suspicions were correct, and since we have done what he asked, and accepted the fact that it is Chris, we have had less problems with the more evil spirits in the house. Well, just last week I decided that I would have to set Chris’s soul free, and I thought, that the anniversary of his death would be the perfect time. Tomorrow, January 5, 2010, is that day and I will set his soul free. He deserves to move on, and not to continue wandering in our world. I am researching the proper procedure for releasing unrested souls, and have found more information than I wanted, but tomorrow is the day. It must be done. Funny thing is, that Chris grew up in this area that we just moved to, which is a funny coincidence. I think he knew where we were going and he just attached himself to me and my family. I am thankful that he was able to help protect us, but I need to set him free!

A Scary Merry Christmas to You All!

Wow! I have not had this much fun on Christmas day in a very long time. Good Times! After a successful turkey dinner, and I do mean successful….YUM!! We decided to load up all eight of my sons Nerf dart guns and battle it out in the living room. What a blast, really, who knew you could have so much fun with those things. Santa bought my Jacob a Raider Rapid Fire Rifle, and it shoots 35 darts at a time. Totally awesome, but the best ones are the little Nerf hand guns…..they seem to shoot the farthest and most accurately. We have been going at it since about 7:30 pm, and it is now 10:00pm…..phew!! The best part is that half way during our play time, my daughter said that there was someone on the stairway and that there is someone else here with us. So, while we were playing we decided that we would take some pictures. Well, in most of our fun shots we also had some spirit orbs in many of the shots. There were some really bright glowing ones as well, and when I took the shots of the stairway there were two orbs on the stairs and in my room. I will have to post those pictures in the days to follow. Anyway, this was not our best Christmas in the way of finances, but has to be one of the best by far in the way of spending some quality time with the family, and that is what truly matters. I hope you all had the opportunity to spend some quality time with your families, doing whatever it is you enjoy doing together. Well, I better get back down there, they are loading the guns up!! Sharing Our House With A Ghost Rarely Ever Fun!

We have been sharing our 3 bedroom home with an uninvited guest, of the paranormal kind, for well over 3 months now. It’s bad enough to have a living, breathing guest that won’t leave, but worse to have one that comes home at all hours of the day or night, without any regard for your sleep. It has been rough on my family, and I just realized how sleep deprived we have all been, especially my kids. Sera rarely gets a full nights sleep, and is exhausted by the weekend. It’s no wonder we all can get so grumpy at any given moment.

Yesterday, I decided that as soon as we can get the money, we are going to have to move. The kids will never be relaxed here because too much has happened. Every noise that they hear, spirit or no spirit, is always going to be a spirit, because that is the way they have been conditioned. It doesn’t matter how many times I tell them that it is a protective spirit or that it is not here to hurt us, it will never be the same. My two-year-old will always see the monster in the closet, my four-year-old will always want someone to go with here any times she leaves the room, my 11-year-old will always sleep with all the lights on, and my oldest daughter will never get any sleep. We will always hear someone walking up and down the stairs, because that is just the way it is.

Yesterday, my 11-year-old, Jake, was here sitting on the couch with his little sister when they heard something walk down the stairs. Jake usually handles it all pretty well, but this time he was sitting and saw and felt something put a hand on his knee and whatever it was held it there for a while. He was scared but did not panic, just sat there waiting for it to go. He isn’t sure how long it was there, but was pretty excited about it and talked about it for the next few hours. They took a little longer than usual to fall asleep last night again, I think it was about 11:15pm. Definitely not the time school aged kids should be going to sleep.

So, I am not sure when, but we will have to move to see if we can get some peace and quiet. I know that there is a chance we will find more ghosts in a new house, or that these will follow us, but that is a chance we are willing to take. This had definitely not been fun!

Paranormal Activity

I finally had the opportunity to go and see “Paranormal Activity” and I have to say that it hit way too close to home for me. Activity has escalated here at the house over the last few days and so I will no longer be posting any further updates until I can figure out what is going on. I want to be sure that it is safe for my family. The fact that I have had most of the experiences contained in this film it was quite disturbing to me. I tried to pay attention to the reactions of the audience and I can say that most of them felt the same. Aside from the irritating nausea I felt from the constant movement of the camera that this is one of the top ten scariest films that I have seen. I don’t want to go in to detail about it. While most skeptical people will not appreciate it and probably walk out of the matinee saying that they were happy they didn’t pay full price, anyone who has had even the smallest paranormal experience will at least appreciate it’s worth, but I don’t advise going alone……

Okay, so we have now formally acknowledged the presence of a male spirit in the house who is watching over our family. We have offered him an apple and a comic book in the upstairs loft area as I said we would. The kids seemed a bit more comfortable and they were able to sleep better last night. There were no screaming or waking episodes and no footsteps, but my daughter continues to feel like something is watching her. She understands that “he” is here to protect us but she is still very uncomfortable about the whole situation. It’s all new to her but I think she is handling it quite well. I did not hear or see anything on the stairs last night either so maybe “he” really just wanted us to know he was here for us. We all have an idea about who “he” is, but I am hoping that “he” will let one of us know soon. I really do want to know.
