Haunted Places – Alcatraz Prison

When I was a child, I had an aunt and uncle that lived in Santa Clara, California. We often visited them, and when we would, we always went to San Francisco as part of our trip. My parents liked to take the tour boat that went around Alcatraz, and I remember it like it was yesterday. I also remember, a very scary helicopter ride over Alcatraz, that turned out to be more fun and interesting than scary.

Alcatraz Prison is located in the middle of the San Francisco Bay, on Alcatraz Island. The water surrounding the island is known for its extremely cold temperatures and strong currents, which made it almost impossible for a prisoner to escape without drowning, and making it an ideal place for a prison. Construction of the prison began in 1859 and continued through 1912. In 1933, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, declared Alcatraz a Federal prison that would be home to some of the most hardened and most problematic prisoners in its system. There were many incidents of suicide, murder, and violence within the walls of Alcatraz, and these incidents resulted in many more residual energy imprints left behind for us to experience.

Alcatraz Prison is now a museum, and a National Park, and there have been numerous reports of experiences by Park officials as well as visitors. Silvia Brown, a well known psychic/medium, with her well known Spirit Guide Francine, have also been invited guests of Alcatraz, and a she even performed a seance in an attempt to free some of the souls imprisoned within the walls of Alcatraz today. Park officials have reported hearing voices and screams in what used to be the Hospital ward. There have been reports of footsteps, voices, screaming, and crashing sounds coming from both Blocks A and B. The stressful and traumatic events that took place within the walls of Alcatraz have left intense impressions, some of the worst felt in the area of 14D, where the ”steel boxes” were kept. These steel boxes deprived a prisoner of almost all of his sensory stimulation, and I can only imagine the traumatic experience that would have been for any length of time.

In 1963 the old prison buildings began to crumble, probably as a result of the weather and elements of the San Francisco Bay, and the prison was closed. Today, you can take a guided tour of the prison, and walk around the prison grounds. I hear that the grounds and the views are breathtaking. I hope that someday I will be able to go back to Alcatraz, visit the museum, or take the guided tour. Maybe, I could even take a few really good pictures.

Ghost Updates – My Son Has a Follower!

So my son is visiting from Tucson, Arizona, and when he first arrived at the house he was running around playing with the kids. We thought it would be a good time to get some good pictures. I was taking some pretty good shots and got quite a few of the orbs in blues and whites, there must have been around 6-9 in most of the pictures. Well, at one point my husband said to me, “Take a picture of Josh and see if anyone is following him.” So I immediately took a picture of Josh walking away and this is what we got. I could not believe it, I got it on the first shot.

Apparently he has a follower……if you look closely you can also make out a face….

This was also a good shot of his follower on the move…..

What is an Orb?

I have read that the spirit or ghost orb was rarely ever talked about, and was not considered a spiritual energy, ball of energy, or whatever you want to call it, until after the digital camera was invented. They say that as the digital camera became more popular and more frequently used, orbs also began showing up all over the Internet. Well, while orb photos are becoming more common, it can also be said that since it is so much easier to download digital photos on to your computer than to scan and upload your old 35mm shots that, that is the reason we see so many pictures on the Internet. I have seen orbs or unexplained light energies in my old photographs as well.

I believe with all of my being, that these anomalies are of a spiritual nature, and not just water droplets, dust particles, and insects. They are the life force energy of people and other living things, or ghosts in the shape of balls of light. It is said that the orb shape or ball shape takes much less energy to manifest than a full apparition or larger form. These spirit orbs are found hovering over the heads of family and our pets, and it seems that they increase in number when there is a lot of activity going on, especially celebrations like birthdays and Christmas. We took photos in our house when there was not much going on, but felt a presence and have gotten orbs in the general area of the the energy we felt. We have also played with kids, and had a lot of fun putting trimming our tree at Christmas, and found many orbs which appeared to follow us and hover over our heads. Some even try to get in on group pictures. Their energy is felt and the pictures are just proof that they are here with us, taking in our positive energy, and enjoying being in our presence.

They are transparent and often have a dark spot or spots in them, and have been known to have what appear to be faces in them. They are sometimes colorful and can be seen in white, reds, blues, greens, and sometimes are even multicolored. Sometimes they are even photographed moving quickly through a room or even through doors and walls. I don’t believe them to be harmful in any way. We have become so comfortable with our spirits that we welcome them to join us in our activities so that we may take more pictures, and always seem to be there. We ask them to protect us, and even to guide us at times. We feel lucky to be so aware of them, and surrounded by so many.

Is Circle Arts Theatre Haunted?

My daughter recently completed a Theatre Arts class at Circle Arts Theatre in New Braunfels, Texas. She really enjoyed the class, and learned plenty from the experienced instructors there. She had a recital on December 12th, and my youngest daughter and I were able to attend. The theatre itself has a lot of history, and used to be one of the Wurstfest’s old factory buildings. The actual Circle Arts Theatre was founded in 1968 by Elizabeth Elliott. While we were waiting for the program to start, my daughter and I were the first to arrive and chose our seats. I wanted to get some pictures for Sera, and started taking pictures of the stage and seating. My daughter Raylee, sat in her seat and requested a picture and I thought it would be cute to get a shot of the whole seating area, and her sitting alone. Well, I was looking through those pictures and I found that sitting a two rows up from her was an orb that I had not noticed before.

I Am The Ghost Hunter!

Well, I have come to the conclusion that I have the ability to photograph and speak to ghosts, spirits, orbs, and all the life-force energies you can think of. I have had this ability without even realizing it, until this morning, when I was enlightened by a special person who also has these abilities. I will be forever grateful to her, and her talents. She has also pointed me in a direction that I thought I would not go again, but that is another post. I am going to be keeping my camera with me when I go out, and have it near when I am home. When I get that feeling that I am not alone, I will ask to take a picture of my visitor, in hopes that I will be able to capture an image. I have been looking at pictures from the past, and never saw all of the images that I caught over the years, but there are many. Not just orbs, although those seem to be the ones following me and my family, and the same recognizable ones, but other shapes and forms. I will post them as I find them. It’s like looking at these pictures for the first time, even though I have looked through them all several times, I am just now recognizing the orbs and objects in the pictures as well. I went hiking with my family a few months ago and found some interesting photos….they could be classified as orbs, bright lights, angels, ghosts, spirits, or even fairies….I don’t know, but I did not see them the first time or even the second time I looked through these photos….

If you look towards the center and to the left you will see an object between the limbs of the trees. When I was taking these pictures I was just taking random shots, but at some points, I was told to take the pictures……what is even more strange is, that my two year old son was looking at these photos with me, and when he saw this picture, he said, “look mommy, its a ghost”…..crazy, huh? I didn’t even say anything about a ghost, orbs, spirit, or anything else……

A Scary Merry Christmas to You All!

Wow! I have not had this much fun on Christmas day in a very long time. Good Times! After a successful turkey dinner, and I do mean successful….YUM!! We decided to load up all eight of my sons Nerf dart guns and battle it out in the living room. What a blast, really, who knew you could have so much fun with those things. Santa bought my Jacob a Raider Rapid Fire Rifle, and it shoots 35 darts at a time. Totally awesome, but the best ones are the little Nerf hand guns…..they seem to shoot the farthest and most accurately. We have been going at it since about 7:30 pm, and it is now 10:00pm…..phew!! The best part is that half way during our play time, my daughter said that there was someone on the stairway and that there is someone else here with us. So, while we were playing we decided that we would take some pictures. Well, in most of our fun shots we also had some spirit orbs in many of the shots. There were some really bright glowing ones as well, and when I took the shots of the stairway there were two orbs on the stairs and in my room. I will have to post those pictures in the days to follow. Anyway, this was not our best Christmas in the way of finances, but has to be one of the best by far in the way of spending some quality time with the family, and that is what truly matters. I hope you all had the opportunity to spend some quality time with your families, doing whatever it is you enjoy doing together. Well, I better get back down there, they are loading the guns up!! Another Ghostly Visit at 2 a.m.

So I am sitting here working on the computer downstairs when all of a sudden I hear a very loud bang upstairs in the loft area. I thought maybe Jason got up and knocked something over so I waited a few minutes but heard nothing. I did however catch a glimpse of a shadow the loft area. So I turned on the light to the stairs and walked up. Jason was sound asleep, I do not know how he could have slept through that sound. I walked into the loft area and I see that all of the 10 pictures hat I had sitting on the table were now upside down on the floor. I am now feeling like someone else is here and guess what? Its 2 a.m. how convenient. So I say, “Now, that wasn’t very nice.” Of course there was no reply. I am asking it what it wants and at the same time not really wanting an answer, but there is no reply. I think I will check on the kids and go to sleep. When I get down stairs I hear strange noises coming from the dining area, and when I checked the kids it sounded like something was in the kids bathroom. So I waited and asked it to leave. Said one more protection spell for the kids and went to sleep.
