Haunted Places – Pantages Theater

When I was in elementary school I remember we had a field trip to the Pantages Theater in Hollywood, California.  I remember the interior was really quite beautiful, and made me think of a castle, or palace.  The Pantages is located at 6233 Hollywood, Blvd, and yes, it is haunted.  The theater was originally completed in the 1930’s, and was a stage theater.  In 1949, it was purchased by Howard Hughes, and it became part of old RKO Pictures, and it was turned into a movie screen theater.  In 1967, it was purchased by Pacific Theaters, and was then turned back into an all stage theater, and the Broadway Touring Company performed there.  There is a reason for me giving you all of this information before we talk about the hauntings, and I am getting to that…..lol.

Since 1932, there has been a woman spirit that visits when the theater is dark and quiet.  She is believed to be a woman who was a patron, and who also had dreams of becoming a performer, died during one of the performances.  They say her singing can be heard, day or night.  Once, during a performance in 1994, her voice was picked up during a live performance, and they said she was singing along with the performers.

Howard Hughes, supposedly haunts the second floor in and around what used to be his office, and is now a large conference room.  Employees have reported cold spots, and sudden passing of air, like someone walking by.  Twice, there have been reports of a tall male entity, walking around the corner to what used to be his office, and sometimes there is even the scent of a smoke.

Alexander Pantages, was a very gentlemanly man, and his ghost is said to have helped an older employee of the theater, after she fell down in the theater when it was dark, and she could not see.  Apparently, he took her by the arm and escorted her to the door and when she turned the lights on to thank him, there was no one to be found. 

I did not experience any paranormal activity while I was there, but it sure would be fun to go back, and see what I could find now.

Crop Circles – Messages from the Spirit World?

I have been doing some research on crop circles, and there is a lot of information out there.  Crop circles have been around for as long as man has been growing crops, and in the 1600’s they were believed to be the work of the Devil.  They have been found all over the world including Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands, and the United States, especially in the United Kingdom.  In the 1970’s more complicated patterns started to appear, and in the 1980’s both television and news papers began to take and interest in them.  

Crops circles are not limited to circles at all, and have been found in the shape of stars, spirals, and other geometric shapes.  They are created when the stems of wheat, corn, barley, or other type of crop are bent or flattened in a way that the crops are not damaged, and they usually straighten up after a couple of days.  The patterns appear over night, and if there are witnesses, they all say that there is a humming sound, whistling, or electronic type sound heard, and there have even been witnesses that claim to have seen “balls of light” and ”tubular lights” in the area. 

The “balls of light” or “tubular lights” is the part that got me thinking.  There are some people that think that these patterns are created as a way of communication from our own Mother Earth, and some even think that they are created by extraterrestrials.  I am not so sure they are not a way of communicating to us from the ”space in between.”  There have been some scientists that have thought that they may be portals or a vortex.  One thing we do know is that they are electronically charged, and that cell phones, cameras, and electronic equipment sometimes fail when in the area of a crop circle.  Some of the shapes that are created are also said to originate from the Ancient Mayans, which also has me thinking that these messages are sent from a place of higher vibration.  Some books that I have read about the Mayans suggest that the Mayan people did not just disappear, they were just so much more aware and enlightened, that they are now living in a place of higher vibration right here on Earth, and we just can’t see them.  

Orbs come in the shape of balls of light.  I have also seen pictures of tubular shaped orbs when they are in motion, and this would explain the eye witnesses seeing ”bright balls of light” and “tubular shaped lights.”  Maybe these are messages being sent from the spirit world, and if so, what are they trying to tell us?

Setting A Soul Free

If you have been reading my posts, you will know that we have a protective spirit in our house that has been with us since we moved to New Braunfels, Texas in July of 2009.  Well, we confirmed that this spirit is my friend Chris, who took his own life on January 5th, 2009.  We were having some problems with spirits, so my father did performed some meditation and asked this spirit what he wanted.  Well, he wanted us to acknowledge that we knew “he” was here, and that he was only here to protect us.  My dad also said that he wanted a comic book and some apple cider, and asked me to put it where we felt there was the most activity, and of course we did.  He would not tell me who the person was though, and that if I wanted to know I should ask him.  I did not get up the courage to ask him, but about a week after my father told me this, I came in contact with an old friend who used to date Chris.  The thought popped into my head, and I asked her if he liked comic books and apple cider.  Her response was, “Oh yes! Of course he did.”  She even said he used to collect them, but did not know the extent of his collection, but that she would ask his sister when she contacted her via email.  Well, my suspicions were correct, and since we have done what he asked, and accepted the fact that it is Chris, we have had less problems with the more evil spirits in the house.  Well, just last week I decided that I would have to set Chris’s soul free, and I thought, that the anniversary of his death would be the perfect time.  Tomorrow, January 5, 2010, is that day and I will set his soul free.  He deserves to move on, and not to continue wandering in our world.  I am researching the proper procedure for releasing unrested souls, and have found more information than I wanted, but tomorrow is the day.  It must be done.  Funny thing is, that Chris grew up in this area that we just moved to, which is a funny coincidence.  I think he knew where we were going and he just attached himself to me and my family.  I am thankful that he was able to help protect us, but I need to set him free!

What is an Orb?

I have read that the spirit or ghost orb was rarely ever talked about, and was not considered a spiritual energy, ball of energy, or whatever you want to call it, until after the digital camera was invented.  They say that as the digital camera became more popular and more frequently used, orbs also began showing up all over the Internet.  Well, while orb photos are becoming more common, it can also be said that since it is so much easier to download digital photos on to your computer than to scan and upload your old 35mm shots that, that is the reason we see so many pictures on the Internet.  I have seen orbs or unexplained light energies in my old photographs as well. 

I believe with all of my being, that these anomalies are of a spiritual nature, and not just water droplets, dust particles, and insects.  They are the life force energy of people and other living things, or ghosts in the shape of balls of light.  It is said that the orb shape or ball shape takes much less energy to manifest than a full apparition or larger form.  These spirit orbs are found hovering over the heads of family and our pets, and it seems that they increase in number when there is a lot of activity going on, especially celebrations like birthdays and Christmas.  We took photos in our house when there was not much going on, but felt a presence and have gotten orbs in the general area of the the energy we felt.  We have also played with kids, and had a lot of fun putting trimming our tree at Christmas, and found many orbs which appeared to follow us and hover over our heads.  Some even try to get in on group pictures.  Their energy is felt and the pictures are just proof that they are here with us, taking in our positive energy, and enjoying being in our presence.

They are transparent and often have a dark spot or spots in them, and have been known to have what appear to be faces in them.  They are sometimes colorful and can be seen in white, reds, blues, greens, and sometimes are even multicolored.  Sometimes they are even photographed moving quickly through a room or even through doors and walls.  I don’t believe them to be harmful in any way.  We have become so comfortable with our spirits that we welcome them to join us in our activities so that we may take more pictures, and always seem to be there.  We ask them to protect us, and even to guide us at times.  We feel lucky to be so aware of them, and surrounded by so many.

I Am The Ghost Hunter!

Well, I have come to the conclusion that I have the ability to photograph and speak to ghosts, spirits, orbs, and all the life-force energies you can think of.  I have had this ability without even realizing it, until this morning, when I was enlightened by a special person who also has these abilities.  I will be forever grateful to her, and her talents.  She has also pointed me in a direction that I thought I would not go again, but that is another post.  I am going to be keeping my camera with me when I go out, and have it near when I am home.  When I get that feeling that I am not alone, I will ask to take a picture of my visitor, in hopes that I will be able to capture an image.  I have been looking at pictures from the past, and never saw all of the images that I caught over the years, but there are many.  Not just orbs, although those seem to be the ones following me and my family, and the same recognizable ones, but other shapes and forms.  I will post them as I find them.  It’s like looking at these pictures for the first time, even though I have looked through them all several times, I am just now recognizing the orbs and objects in the pictures as well.  I went hiking with my family a few months ago and found some interesting photos….they could be classified as orbs, bright lights, angels, ghosts, spirits, or even fairies….I don’t know, but I did not see them the first time or even the second time I looked through these photos….

If you look towards the center and to the left you will see an object between the limbs of the trees.  When I was taking these pictures I was just taking random shots, but at some points, I was told to take the pictures……what is even more strange is, that my two year old son was looking at these photos with me, and when he saw this picture, he said, “look mommy, its a ghost”…..crazy, huh? I didn’t even say anything about a ghost, orbs, spirit, or anything else……
