My daughter has also been seeing a lot more of them in the house, and is now seeing them at her school.  Today, she finally told me that she has been seeing this almost full apparition in class.  She says that she thinks that it knows she can see him, and that he looks like he is trying to avoid the other people walking around the classroom.  She said that it appears to look lost, and just keeps looking around the room.  She also said that it is wearing dull gray clothing.  She said that her friend saw that she was looking at something today, and asked her what was wrong.  Unfortunately, she was not able to just tell her. 

The other day I slipped on the stairs.  Now, I am a very athletic and have great reflexes, and don’t just go around falling everywhere.  I can’t even remember a time that I have tripped and fallen down.  In fact, I don’t think I ever have until now.  It was strange, because it felt like someone had put roller blades on the bottom of my feet.  I slipped down five steps, and luckily I was able to grab the railing and use my other arm to stop my fall.  It just didn’t feel like an accident, and I can’t say that it was anything else, but I have my suspicions.  Anyway, as I am writing this I just saw one of them run up the stairs, and about an hour ago, the dogs were barking at nothing we could see or hear, but it was at the bottom of the stairs.  These next few days are going to be interesting.

I wanted to give everyone an update on the activity in our home, that has been occurring since about the middle of August of 2009.  We live in New Braunfels, Texas at the moment, with four of our five children.  Our oldest daughter is 13, and she seems to be the conduit that attracts these spirits to our home.  They are generally seen in or around the stairway, and are seen as shadow figures, orbs, bright figures, and now we are seeing actual full apparitions. 

Since August, my husband and I moved into the bedrooms upstairs, and all of the kids sleep together in the master bedroom downstairs.  This way they are as far away from the stairway as possible.  Anyway, after we put the kids to bed last night my daughter called me down to the bedroom because she was hearing footsteps in the attic.  Then she said she was also hearing voices, but she could not make out what they were saying.  I stayed with her in the bedroom for a while and then she began to get frustrated because she does not know why they won’t just leave her alone.  She said that all she wants to do is to be able to sleep.  I feel so bad for her.  We sat there and listened with her, but she said that they soon stopped.  I decided to just let her come up stairs and sleep with me, so that the both of us could get some sleep.

Well, she seemed to fall asleep pretty quickly, but I stayed awake for a bit, because I was feeling like something followed us up stairs.  I was trying to get comfortable when I heard footsteps and something in the attic.  I turned to the sound and heard it a couple more times, and then it settled down.  I didn’t tell my daughter this, but earlier before I went down to her bedroom, I was lying in the bed trying to get comfortable when I felt something grab my exposed leg, and it happened just as she called me down. 

We really are not afraid of these spirits anymore, we have gotten quite used to them.  The only problem is that they do not let us rest.  A good nights seep would be wonderful.  We will be moving soon, and I know that it will not solve our problem, but I am going to do my best to make these spirits stay right here in this house.

Alcatraz Prison is located in the middle of the San Francisco Bay, on Alcatraz Island.  The water surrounding the island is known for its extremely cold temperatures and strong currents, which made it almost impossible for a prisoner to escape without drowning, and making it an ideal place for a prison.  Construction of the prison began in 1859 and continued through 1912.  In 1933, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, declared Alcatraz a Federal prison that would be home to some of the most hardened and most problematic prisoners in its system.  There were many incidents of suicide, murder, and violence within the walls of Alcatraz, and these incidents resulted in many more residual energy imprints left behind for us to experience.  

Alcatraz Prison is now a museum, and a National Park, and there have been numerous reports of experiences by Park officials as well as visitors.  Silvia Brown, a well known psychic/medium, with her well known Spirit Guide Francine, have also been invited guests of Alcatraz, and a she even performed a seance in an attempt to free some of the souls imprisoned within the walls of Alcatraz today.  Park officials have reported hearing voices and screams in what used to be the Hospital ward.  There have been reports of footsteps, voices, screaming, and crashing sounds coming from both Blocks A and B.  The stressful and traumatic events that took place within the walls of Alcatraz have left intense impressions, some of the worst felt in the area of 14D, where the ”steel boxes” were kept.  These steel boxes deprived a prisoner of almost all of his sensory stimulation, and I can only imagine the traumatic experience that would have been for any length of time.

In 1963 the old prison buildings began to crumble, probably as a result of the weather and elements of the San Francisco Bay, and the prison was closed.  Today, you can take a guided tour of the prison, and walk around the prison grounds.  I hear that the grounds and the views are breathtaking.  I hope that someday I will be able to go back to Alcatraz, visit the museum, or take the guided tour.  Maybe, I could even take a few really good pictures.

In this picture, we had asked the spirits to join us in our fun.  We were playing Nerf gun dart wars, boys against the girls…..look at all the activity we have in our living room.  They were everywhere.  We took this right as my daughter said they were amongst us, and sure enough, there they were.  There are a total nine orbs in this picture, the bright one on the bottom of the picture is one that has been in several pictures since we started noticing them.

Yesterday, I decided that as soon as we can get the money, we are going to have to move. The kids will never be relaxed here because too much has happened. Every noise that they hear, spirit or no spirit, is always going to be a spirit, because that is the way they have been conditioned. It doesn’t matter how many times I tell them that it is a protective spirit or that it is not here to hurt us, it will never be the same. My two-year-old will always see the monster in the closet, my four-year-old will always want someone to go with here any times she leaves the room, my 11-year-old will always sleep with all the lights on, and my oldest daughter will never get any sleep. We will always hear someone walking up and down the stairs, because that is just the way it is.

Yesterday, my 11-year-old, Jake, was here sitting on the couch with his little sister when they heard something walk down the stairs. Jake usually handles it all pretty well, but this time he was sitting and saw and felt something put a hand on his knee and whatever it was held it there for a while. He was scared but did not panic, just sat there waiting for it to go.  He isn’t sure how long it was there, but was pretty excited about it and talked about it for the next few hours. They took a little longer than usual to fall asleep last night again, I think it was about 11:15pm. Definitely not the time school aged kids should be going to sleep.

So, I am not sure when, but we will have to move to see if we can get some peace and quiet. I know that there is a chance we will find more ghosts in a new house, or that these will follow us, but that is a chance we are willing to take. This had definitely not been fun!

Throughout my entire life I have had experiences of the psychic and paranormal kind. I can remember some events as far back as age one. Over the years I have also enjoyed sharing these stories with others and giving the goose bumps to anyone within earshot. Well, ever since we moved into our current home these experiences have not been limited to just myself.

I have five children ages 20, 13, 11, 4, and 2. My oldest is in college in Arizona and has not been affected. The four at home however have begun to have experiences of their own. Sera is the oldest of the four at home and has been affected the most, with Jake coming in at a close second.

Approximately three to four weeks ago my youngest son JC started waking up screaming for me at odd hours of the night. When I would get to his room he would be trembling and crying, and the only word that came out of his mouth was, “Monster!”  At that same time my eleven-year-old son Jake also started to hear someone walking around on the second floor of our house and also right there in his room. I receieved a text one afternoon from his cell phone to please come up stairs and when I got there he was pale as a ghost. He described feeling like someone was in the room and that he even heard its foot steps walking around right next to his bed. Jake and JC both sleep in the same bedroom.

They weren’t the only ones seeing and hearing things. I have been staying up late doing research for this site and have seen shadows walking up and down the stairs, and have heard foot steps walking up and down the stairs as well as from the second floor. I also found out my husband has also been seeing the shadows on the stairs and hallway but just ignores them.

Well, two weeks ago at about 1:00 a.m. I woke up with the feeling that someone was watching me. Well, when I opened my eyes I was startled to see my oldest daughter Sera, standing at the foot of my bed. I asked her what it was that she needed and she didn’t reply, but she walked out of my room very quickly. I followed her and found her walking so fast it could have been considered a jog and she was walking the perimeter of the kitchen, dining area, and living room. She kept mumbling and had a blank stare on her face but going round and round again. She must have gone around about four times when I grabbed her arm to see if maybe she had a fever-induced-sleep-walking-episode. Well, she wasn’t warm and she seemed startled that I had touched her. I asked her what she was doing and she said, “I-I don’t know…..the girls…the girls…..” Well, she proceeded to walk around about ten more times until she finally just snapped out of it. She looked a little surprised to see me standing there looking at her. I asked her if she was okay and then she said, “What?” She then began to tell me that she was upstairs sleeping and heard someone in the upstairs bathroom running bathwater. She said that she got up and went into the bathroom to find two young girls sitting on the edge of the bathtub playing in the water. She said that when she looked at them one of them turned to her and looked at her. She said that the girl just stared at her and then she came down stairs and that is all she remembers. She didn’t remember pacing the entire down stairs area or waking me up.

So this last Thursday we left Sera at home alone to do homework while we took Jake to baseball practice. When we arrived at the fields I noticed that I had left my cell phone and had a gut feeling that I would surely need it. Jason had his phone so I figured there was no need to drive all the way back home. Well, about twenty minutes later Jason gets a call from Sera who is hysterical because while she was sitting upstairs in her room she heard someone run up the stairs and they were now walking back and forth in the hallway. She was scared and had locked herself in her closet, and she was crying. She then saw a shadow figure walk past her doorway twice, and then again a few minutes later. I stayed on the phone with her and sent Jason to go and get her. While I was on the phone with her she was able to gain the courage to get out of the closet and hide behind her bed. She said that when Jason came home something ran across her door and into Jakes room, but when Jason checked the rooms he found nothing and all the doors were locked.

Okay, so what is going on? I decided to call my dad and ask if he had felt a presence or anything while he was here for four days in August. He said that he only heard some heavy footsteps from the second floor. So now I have had to bring out the sage and the paint rock, sage all the rooms and chalk everyone before they go to bed. We also gather in a circle and say a protection prayer together. This all seems to be working as far as getting them to go to sleep, but we continue to have these visits every day and night

Saturday morning I drove Jason to work at about 0550. When I got back I made him some breakfast tacos and was going to drive them back to him. I had just finished the tacos when I heard Sera scream. I ran upstairs to her room and she was crying hysterically. She said that someone came up the stairs and something was standing in the corner of her room. She said she tried to use her protection spells over and over, and even closed her eyes only to find that it was still there. She then said that she imagined herself surrounded and protected by a purple light and when she opened her eyes it was gone. 

That same day my dad called me to tell me that he is now getting the feeling that there is someone here that wants us to acknowledge “his” presence and that we should also know that “he” is here to protect us. I asked dad who “he” is but of course he would not tell me. So I say, “How does one acknowledge that someone is there when you don’t know who that someone is?” Well, he replied by telling me to put an apple or some apple cider and a comic book upstairs and to tell “him” that we know he is here for us and thank him. He still did not offer a name but he did say that he knew who it was. I guess I am going to have to just ask “him” myself when I get the courage. 

I believe that there is more than one entity here. One may be here to protect but the other I am not so sure of.  I believe that if a spirit is there to protect you then the energy you feel from it should be just that, positive and loving. The feeling that she gets from this presence is definitely not a good one.
